Cranberry fruit salad recipe
Ingredients
- 1 qt. fresh cranberries
- 2 lg. apples
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 sm. boxes raspberry Jello
- 3 c. water
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. diced celery
Preparation
Cut cranberries in food chopper or blender in quarters or chop coarsely (freeze cranberries before chopping, this prevents mushing). Dice apples into small pieces. Add sugar and refrigerate the mixture overnight. Next morning prepare 2 packages of gelatin (Jello) using 3 cups of water and blend well until dissolved. Stir in cranberries, apple mixture. Chill until beginning to set. Stir in celery and nuts. Let set. The longer this stands the better is gets. Serve cranberry fruit salad cold.
